Media2 Network -- Message Center

James consulted with the founder of the Media2 advertising firm on use of new PC technology for providing video advertisements in retail centers. Research included visits to potential clients and technology vendors and resulted in product and prototype specifications.


James then implemented a marketing prototype of Message Center (using Macromind Director 3.0, Lingo macro language, C programming language, Excel).






Message Center program had three major functions:

  • provide store managers wizards to insert promotion details into existing advertising animations.
  • coordinate the display of RGB animations and NTSC television advertisements on the same video monitor (for multiple monitors)
  • provide retail chain home offices remote control of system, including distribution of NTSC and animated advertisements and logging of displayed content
